Famous oil paintings by famous artists have overwhelmed spectators all the way through time. Many famous artists reveal eye-catching detail of the original oil paintings. The oil paint was first used in Afghanistan sometimes between 5th and 9th centuries. Traditionally the oil painting technique was often introduced with the artist sketching the figure onto the canvas with charcoal which is a thinned paint. The oil paint is prepared from the linseed oil which comes out from the flax seed, a common fiber crop.
