The history of painting in Latin America has often been dominated by the Mexican famous Latin American painters. Names like Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera are practically household words. Undoubtedly great art does not stop at Mexico’s border only. Of course not: Central America also has a powerful place in the history of painting well. While the names of the artists may not be on the tip of your tongue, their paintings have made contributions to the whole world of art.
