Religious Art Work

Religious art works were invented to exemplify the Christian principles in a form which people could actually see and touch. There has been an opposition by some people and some of them have used this religious art work as a medium of projecting their affiliation towards God. There were eras of ‘iconoclasm’ wherein Jesus’ images were made to give out the narrative life style of God. They made the images of Virgin Mary and took stories from the Old Testament. But here one notices that the images of Virgin Mary are less in the art invented by the Protestants. It is more in the art of the Roman Catholic.
