Famous paintings of Van Gogh are surely a memorable treat for all art lovers. Van Gogh, was born on 30th March, 1853 in Holland. His childhood was very pitiable. He was the son of priest. He did many jobs, such as at an art gallery, a school, a bookstore, as a preacher, and at last, he became an artist. He worked in London, Paris and The Hague. As he didn’t have a very happy life, he majorly painted sad paintings with poor people in them. He suffered from attacks of depression due to poverty as also an unsuccessful love affair with an English girl. He divided his time between working at Brussels Academy and amongst farmers in Holland. During the last six years of his life he created some 700 sketches and 800 oil paintings. In return, he got nothing but penury and mental tensions. His paintings were always very dark until he saw some colorful Japanese paintings. Then Van Gogh started painting happier paintings. And then many famous paintings of van gogh were appreciated by everyone.
