Undoubtedly, Leonardo da Vinci is the one of the French famous painters. His artistic movement influenced the French history to a great extent, something that is cherished even today. Leonardo was born on April 15th 1452, he was known for his unquenchable curiosity. He is widely considered to be one of the perhaps painters of all time and perhaps the most diversely talented person ever to have lived. He was born as an illegitimate son of a notary, Piero da Vinci, and Caterina, a peasant woman. Leonardo studied in the studio of the renowned Florentine painter, Verrocchio. He later worked in Rome, Bologna and Venice and spent his last years in France, at the home awarded him by the great Francis I.

Paul Cezanne is another in the list of French famous painters. “Mont St Victoire” and “Bathers” are known as the famousFrench paintings . Paul Cezanne was born in 1839 in Aix en Provence. He was highly influential in the development of 20th century art, including Cubism and Fauvism.
Cezanne is one of the most famous French artists and is known as a ‘post impressionist’. He is also called the “Father of Modern Art” He had a very bad temper and was a slow painter (this is the reason why some of his portraits look a little tired, because his subjects had to sit completely still for hours at a time). Paul Cezanne left this world in the year 1906.
