With the advent of famous modern paintings the importance of painting and art has increased. The definition of painting differs for everyone. For some it is art of expression, for others it’s a source of infiltrate entertainment. Paintings have been a source of livelihood, liberalization, exploration, and expressionism. Through ages we have seen the progression in a painting from cave painting, cubism to modern art. There have been some of the best masterpieces that are regarded the finest and famous paintings.
There are many famous paintings through which many painters got glorified themselves and became immortal; some of which are: “Mona Lisa “and “the last supper” representing the scene of final days of Jesus by the Leonardo da Vinci, “Old Guitarist” by Pablo Picasso and many more of these paintings became famous in the history. The styles and varieties in the paintings in India are as diverse as the country. Modern art in India has been constantly being transformed by legendary artist like Amrita Shergil, Jamini Roy, and of course M .F Hussain. Hussain’s art has the quality which expresses the humane and expressive side of art. These were well known for famous modern art paintings. The modern paintings and art has an abstract quality. Modern art and paintings are vibrant things, which is difficult to put parameters around. Something which is certain is that modern art has brought us to the period where art is boundless and completely unrestrained.
