Antique Ceramics
Making of the antique ceramics is generally the art and science of making things from non-metallic, inorganic materials through action of heat. This includes the purification of raw materials, production and study of chemical compounds and their formation into components with study of their structure, properties and composition. There are many of its type of which handmade ceramics is also one of them.
Ceramic Techniques
Ceramic techniques are actually ways to form ceramic shapes which can be used to make tableware from teapots and engineering ceramics such as computer parts also.Its all about making the beautiful ceramic dishes, bowls, and other cutlery along with the various styles of products.
Ceramics materials have a crystalline or partly crystalline structure, or may be of glass. In the course of forming ceramic techniques from dry powders prepared for processing, the method of forming it into shape required depends upon the method of preparation and size or shape which is to be formed. And if technical ceramics are needed where the length to diameter is large, Extrusion is used in the process. Generally there are two types of extruders one being piston type and other is screw or auger type. In the both types the raw material must be plasticized to allow and tempt the flow of the material in the process.
Together with this, handmade ceramics are also used. These are fine pieces of art that make unique interior accents. These items can be challenging to promote and market when competing against larger pieces like furniture and fabrics. Its high durability makes it more expensive. Antique ceramics is also one of its parts; it is vast subject and has its own specific terminology. It is many used for silver, glass, textiles, furniture ceramics, jewellery, kitchen pieces, desk, sculptures, coins, stamps, books and many more.
